How to get offer alerts on iPhone or iPad

To receive My Side Gig offer alerts on an iPhone or iPad, first add the site to your Home Screen, then return here from the new app icon:

  1. 1Open the My Side Gig homepage in Safari.
  2. 2Tap the Share button.
  3. 3Tap Add to Home Screen.
  4. 4Confirm by tapping Add.
  5. 5Close Safari, then open My Side Gig using the new Home Screen icon. It will now open like an app.
  6. 6In the app, come back to this Alerts page.
  7. 7Tap Get offer alerts above.
  8. 8Tap Allow when your device asks for notification permission.

Once enabled, you'll be able to receive our top offer alerts even when you aren't browsing My Side Gig.

Signed up but not getting alerts?

If you tapped Get offer alerts and allowed notifications but nothing ever appears, your device is usually the cause — not your sign-up. Quick checks:

  • Mac: open System Settings → Notifications. You may see two entries: Google Chrome and Google Chrome Helper. Turn on Allow notifications for both, choose Alerts for both (not Banners — banners vanish after a few seconds), and turn any Focus/Do Not Disturb mode off.
  • Windows: open Settings → System → Notifications and make sure notifications and your browser are both switched on.
  • iPhone/iPad: alerts only work after My Side Gig is added to your Home Screen — see the steps above.
  • Android: long-press the browser icon → App info → Notifications → allowed.
