Important information
How does the Sprive cashback calculator work?
Sprive lets you buy shopping cards for participating retailers and earn rewards, which can be put towards your mortgage. Our Sprive cashback calculator estimates your rewards using the Sprive cashback rates shown and the monthly spending you enter, then works out what those rewards could do as a monthly mortgage overpayment using standard UK repayment mortgage maths. Actual Sprive cashback rates and retailer availability can change, so always check the live rate in the Sprive app.
Does cashback really save mortgage interest?
Reducing your mortgage balance earlier can reduce the interest you’re charged in future, because interest is calculated on the outstanding balance. How much you could save depends on your mortgage balance, your mortgage rate, the years remaining, the timing of overpayments and how your lender treats them.
Should I overpay my mortgage?
Overpaying isn’t automatically right for everyone. Before making additional payments, consider your savings interest rates, any higher-interest debts, your emergency savings, your mortgage’s early repayment charges and annual overpayment allowances, and how easily you’d want to access your money. Check your mortgage’s overpayment allowance and any early repayment charges before making additional payments.
Is this Sprive’s official calculator?
No. This is an independent calculator created by My Side Gig to help users understand the potential value of Sprive rewards. My Side Gig is not Sprive and this calculator is not Sprive’s official calculator.
We may receive a benefit when users join through our promotional link — links marked as such are affiliate links. This never affects the figures the calculator produces.
