• Who are Nationwide?

  Nationwide Building Society is a British mutual financial institution, the seventh largest cooperative financial institution and the largest building society in the world with over 16 million members.

• Steps to qualify?

  This offer is for existing Nationwide customers only.

  1) Switch a non-Nationwide bank account with at least 2 active Direct Debits to Nationwide. Sign up here.

  You must switch to a new or existing FlexPlus, FlexDirect or FlexAccount.

  2) Make the switch online—it's quick and easy! You can do it on their website, internet bank or banking app, just make sure to choose to switch while you are applying for one of the valid current accounts.

  3) Close your non-Nationwide account when you switch. Nationwide can handle this for you—just select the option when requesting your switch.

  4) Complete the switch within 28 days.

  Once you've requested the switch, within the next 31 days, you’ll need to:

  1) Deposit at least £1,000 into your new account.

  2) Make a purchase using your debit card. Keep in mind that certain transactions, like gambling, don't count, so be sure to check the terms.
