Let’s be honest — Easter eggs feel like they’re getting more expensive every year.

What used to be a quick £1–£2 treat now regularly creeps closer to £3–£5 for the same (or smaller) eggs… and don’t even get started on the “premium” ones.

But there are still some proper deals out there— and this year, one stands out as the clear winner for value 👇

Best Deal Right Now: Lidl – 99p Easter Eggs

If you’re looking for the cheapest Easter eggs in the UK right now, Lidl is comfortably the best value.

With a free Lidl Plus account, you can get selected Cadbury & Nestlé Easter eggs for just 99p— which is about as cheap as it gets in 2026.

What you can get for 99p:

  • Cadbury Buttons (90g)
  • Cadbury Freddo (90g)
  • Cadbury Mini Eggs (95g)
  • Nestlé Smarties (100g)
  • Nestlé Terry’s Chocolate Orange (91g)

💡 These are what most shops now call “medium” eggs — and at under £1, they’re significantly cheaper than usual.

How good is the deal?

Here’s how Lidl compares to other supermarkets:

  • Most of these eggs are £1.25 elsewhere (Tesco Clubcard / Asda deals)
  • Some drop to £1 at Tesco— but only on selected Nestlé eggs
  • Without offers, you’re often looking at £1.50–£2+

How long is it on for?

  • Available in-store at Lidl
  • Requires Lidl Plus (free app)
  • Runs until Sunday 5th April

No Lidl nearby?

Don’t worry — there’s still a decent fallback:

  • Tesco is offering £1 Nestlé Easter eggs with a Clubcard

Not quite as good as Lidl, but still solid compared to standard pricing.

Quick Take

If you’re stocking up for Easter (or just want cheap chocolate 👀):

  • Best overall value: Lidl (99p eggs)
  • Backup option: Tesco (£1 eggs with Clubcard)
  • ❌ Avoid paying full price — it’s rarely worth it

My Side Gig Tip

Easter eggs are one of those things where price inflation is sneaky— they look the same, but you’re often getting less chocolate for more money.

So when you see deals like this under £1… it’s actually better value than most years.
