Table of Contents

Zilch has been one of our go-to cashback tools for everyday spending for a while now — offering rewards even when you pay in full and £5 completely free when you sign up. But the team has just launched something new: Zilch Plus, a paid membership that gives you higher cashback, faster support, and extra flexibility.

Here’s exactly what it is, what you’ll get, and how to decide if the £3.99/month plan is worth it.

    What Is Zilch Plus?

Zilch Plus is the new membership plan for Zilch users. It’s currently free for selected customers in a limited trial, but will soon cost £3.99/month.

Members get boosted cashback (or “Rewards”) across all Zilch payment types — including credit instalments. The plan also adds priority support and more control over how your Rewards are used.

    Zilch Plus Benefits

If you’re invited to try Zilch Plus, here’s what you’ll unlock:

Payment Type Standard Zilch Zilch Plus Example £100 Spend Notes
Pay Now 0.5–2% cashback 3–6% cashback £3–£6 earned Instant reward on full payment purchases.
Pay Over 6 Weeks / 3 Months No cashback 1% cashback (after final instalment) £1 earned Must still have Zilch Plus active when last payment clears.
Zilch Anywhere / Tap & Pay 0.5% cashback Up to 6% cashback £0.50–£6 earned Enable card before checkout to get higher rate.
Customer Support Standard response times Priority Support (faster help) Premium queue for member queries.

⚠️ To get the higher rate, you must enable your Zilch card in the app before checkout. If you forget and use the Zilch Anywhere button, you’ll only earn 0.5%.

    When Do Rewards Appear?

    • Pay Now: Rewards appear instantly in the app.

    • Pay Later (6 weeks / 3 months): Rewards unlock after the final payment, if your Zilch Plus membership is still active.

Cancel your plan before your last instalment and you’ll lose pending Rewards linked to that purchase — so it’s best to keep the plan active until everything clears.

    Priority Support

Zilch Plus gives you access to faster replies and a “premium” support queue. You’ll still get all the usual help for credit queries and financial-difficulty issues, but the response times should be noticeably quicker.

How to Join (and Cancel Anytime)

If you’ve been selected for the trial, you’ll see a “Start Zilch Plus Free Trial” button inside the app. It only takes a few taps to activate.

You can cancel anytime, and your perks will remain active until the end of your billing period. The fee is non-refundable once charged, so if you don’t plan to use it that month, cancel in advance.

    Is Zilch Plus Worth It?

    Let’s run the numbers.

Say you spend £300/month through Zilch using Pay Now at partners paying the 6% rate.

Monthly Spend Average Reward Rate Rewards Earned Minus £3.99 Fee Net Profit
    £150 3% £4.50 –£3.99 £0.51 profit
    £300 5% £15.00 –£3.99 £11.01 profit
    £500 6% £30.00 –£3.99 £26.01 profit

Even at a modest 3% average rate, you’d still make £5/month net, effectively earning money for spending as usual.

Can You Try It for Free?

Yes — Zilch Plus is currently free for the first month for selected users. After that, it’s £3.99/month. You should receive a notification if you’re eligible. This will likely be rolled out to all users in the near future.

    Our Take

Zilch Plus is a strong upgrade for anyone already using Zilch regularly. If you:

    • Spend £200+ per month through Zilch

    • Often use Pay Now

    • Like cashback stacking

…then the maths says it’s worth it.

The free trial is a no-brainer — just remember to activate your Zilch card before checkout to lock in the higher rewards.
