Santander has launched a new offer giving new customers a £100 supermarket voucher just for opening a current account — and unlike most bank switching deals, you don’t need to switch your existing bank account.

The offer is open to people who have never had any Santander product before and you can potentially boost the value further by going through TopCashback first, where you can currently get an extra £20 cashback plus a £10 sign-up bonus.

That means the total value could be worth up to £130.

How the Santander £100 voucher offer works

To qualify, you need to:

  1. Open a new eligible Santander current account using the offer link.
  2. Spend £200+ at supermarkets or grocery stores.
  3. Make this spend across at least 4 separate transactions in each of:SeptemberOctoberNovember
  4. September
  5. October
  6. November
  7. Santander will email you a link to claim your £100 supermarket voucher from 14 December.

If you don’t see the email, make sure you check your spam/junk folder.

Which Santander account should you choose?

There are a few eligible accounts, but for most people looking purely to grab the bonus, the simplest option is:

Santander Everyday Current Account

✅ No monthly fee
✅ Basic fee-free current account
✅ Meets the requirements for the voucher offer

This is likely the best choice if you just want the £100 voucher with minimal fuss.

Santander Edge Current Account

The Edge account costs £3 per month, but it comes with cashback benefits.

You can earn:

  • 1% cashback on eligible household bills paid by Direct Debit
  • Up to £10 cashback per month

If you have larger household bills, there’s also the Edge Up account, which costs £5 per month and increases the cashback limit to £15 per month.

For most people doing this offer only, the Everyday account will probably make the most sense.

Boost the Santander offer with TopCashback

The best way to complete this offer is to go through TopCashback first.

You can currently get:

🎁£20 cashback for opening Santander
🎁£10 TopCashback sign-up bonus (for new TopCashback members)

To do this:

  1. Open TopCashback using our link.
  2. Search “Santander”.
  3. Scroll down to the deals section.
  4. Click through to Santander from there.
  5. Open one of the eligible current accounts.

Alternatively you can go straight through the promo with MoneySavingExpert (no additional cashback) here.

Important things to know

⚠️ You cannot currently have any Santander product— this includes existing Santander accounts.

⚠️ You also won’t qualify if you’ve received a Santander switching bonus or voucher offer within the last 12 months.

⚠️ The £200 supermarket spend must be completed every month (September, October and November), with at least four separate transactions each month.

Is the Santander £100 voucher offer worth it?

For anyone eligible, this is one of the easier bank bonuses available because you don’t need to move your main bank account.

The only real requirement is remembering to make enough supermarket transactions each month. If you can stack it with TopCashback, the potential value increases from £100 to around £130, making it a strong quick-win offer.
