Chase has rolled out a great new savings offer aimed at existing customers: a boosted 4.8% AER easy-access Saver account – a strong contender in today’s market of dwindling high-interest savings options.
What’s the Deal?
Chase current account holders can open a boosted Saver account offering:
- 4.8% AER interest for six monthsThis includes the usual 3% variable rate, plus a 1.8% fixed bonus
- This includes the usual 3% variable rate, plus a 1.8% fixed bonus
- Monthly interest payments
- Instant access to savings, no penalties
- No account fees
After six months, the bonus ends and the rate reverts to the standard variable rate (currently 3%, but subject to change).
Who’s Eligible?
This new boost is being offered only to selected existing customers. The bank hasn’t shared exactly how it’s choosing who qualifies, but interestingly, you could still be eligible even if you’ve previously received a savings boost. If you’re eligible, Chase will send you an email alert, and you’ll likely spot the offer on the main screen of the Chase app.
Not with Chase yet?
New customers can’t get this 4.8% offer, but you’re not out of luck — Chase is offering new joiners a 4.75% AER saver, which combines its standard 3% variable rate with a 1.75% fixed bonus for six months.

How Does It Compare?
While Chase previously offered a 5.1% AER on its easy-access accounts (withdrawn in July 2024), this new offer still ranks as one of the most generous easy-access savings accounts available today – especially considering the flexibility and lack of fees.
This is a great deal for new savers looking for a high rate without locking their money away. Just be mindful of the six-month bonus period.
