FAQ’s
-
SuperFi was co‑founded by Tom Barltrop and Nick Spiller.
It is a startup based in London — not a bank, but a fintech company.
-
SuperFi is designed as a debt‑prevention / financial‑wellbeing platform. It connects to your bank accounts and credit accounts (via open banking) to give you an overview of debts, upcoming bills, credit commitments — so you can see all your financial obligations in one place.
Using that data, the app helps you plan and manage repayments, avoid missed payments, and steer clear of problem debt. It can also alert you ahead of bill due dates to help avoid missed payments.
SuperFi also allows users to earn “rewards” or “cashback” for paying bills on time. For example, paying energy or council bills on time might trigger cashback or other incentives.
The business model: Instead of charging users directly, SuperFi partners with bill‑providers (councils, utilities, housing associations) and organisations — those providers subsidise access.
-
The SuperFi app is the user interface / tool: available on iOS and Android (per launch plans).
Via the app you can:
Link accounts (bank, credit, bills) so you get a unified overview of debts/commitments.
Monitor upcoming bills, repayments, due dates — and get alerts to avoid missing payments.
Access tools/resources aimed at reducing debt risk: help with social tariffs, benefits eligibility checking, money‑saving recommendations if eligible (especially for council/utility users under partner programmes).
Earn rewards or cashback (as promoted on their website) when bills are paid on time. joinsuperfi.com+1
SuperFi explicitly states it does not provide formal debt advice or regulated financial advice — it’s a prevention/management tool, not a credit‑counselling or debt‑resolution service.
