Yonder FAQs

What is Yonder?

Yonder is a UK‑based fintech (company: Yonder Technology Ltd) that offers rewards‑style credit cards (plus debit‑card / “account” style functionality) via its mobile app.

The Yonder card runs on the Mastercard network — accepted globally.

Via the app you can track spending, manage repayments, and redeem “yonderpoints” earned on purchases for lifestyle, dining, travel, and experience‑based rewards.

Is Yonder available in the UK?

Yes — Yonder is a UK‑based company, headquartered in London.

Their terms note that to use Yonder services (credit or debit card), you must reside in the UK and have a UK bank or building‑society current account.

Is Yonder a “proper” credit card?

Yes — Yonder issues a real credit card under a credit agreement. When you sign up and get approved, you enter into a credit agreement.

There are two card‑tiers / membership options: a Free version (no monthly/annual fee) and a Full / Premium membership (monthly fee ~ £15) which offers enhanced rewards, insurance, and other perks.

The card offers typical features: accepted by Mastercard merchants, worldwide usage, and the ability to spend credit then repay (weekly, fortnightly or monthly) — like traditional credit cards.

Who owns Yonder?

The operating company is Yonder Technology Ltd.

Founders include former fintech / credit‑score platform employees.

The payment cards themselves are issued by a third‑party issuer — Transact Payments Limited (for the Yonder card).

Can I transfer money from Yonder to a bank account?

Yonder provides an account (via partner bank) for you if you choose its debit‑card option.

According to Yonder’s account terms: the account is operated by Griffin Bank Limited. Funds held in that account are FSCS‑protected.

However: Yonder states that the account is not meant for long‑term holding of money — it is primarily for spending via the Yonder card, not as a savings account or main salary account.

So while you could top up and use as a “bank‑account + card” in principle, it’s not designed as a full bank‑account substitute or long‑term deposit vehicle.

Does Yonder have a refer a friend scheme?

Yes, Yonder has a refer a friend offer.

Right now, you can get £10 off your first purchase. Simply, make a £10+ purchase in groceries, restaurants, coffee shops, pubs, entertainment, flights or hotels.
